Q: What are the main ingredients to your soaps?
A: Our soaps made from vegetable oils such as olive, coconut and palm oil. Vegetable oils such as these are health alternative to store bought soaps with us tallow as their main ingredient.
 
Q: What is tallow? I see this ingredient in many store bought soaps.
A: Tallow is animal fat, usually beef or pork fat, that has been heated to a liquid state then used to make soap at the large industrial soap manufacturing plants. Large cosmetics companies us tallow in their products because it is cheap and widely available.
 
Q: I hear so much about the benefits of olive oil. What exactly are its benefits?
A: Olive oil a high portion of oleic acid fatty-acid which gives natural soap its great cleansing and conditioning properties.
 
Q: How long does it take to make a bar of handmade soap?
A: It take approximately six weeks to make our bars of handmade soap. The sooaps are made on the first day then allowed to cure and harden over the next six weeks.
 
Q: What is the cold process method for making handmade soap.
A: We use the cold process method for making our handmade soap. Basically, the method involves melting the hard oils such as palm oil and coconut oil then letting them cool to room before mixing them with the lye which is also at room temperature. The vegetable oil and lye mixture is mixed together then pour into a wooden mold to begin the curing and hardening phase.
 
Q: Is the sea sal t only on the surface of the Dead Sea Salt soap?
A: No, there is Dead Sea salt throughout the soap bar, but the sea salt is most concentrated on the surface of the soap due to soap mold we use for making the soaps.
